Zwei Bands und eine neue Scheibe. Wedding ist Tantenland. Hier ist der raue Ton Programm. Die gute alte Postpunk-Tantenrockband *Tante Käthe* ist die lokalste Band der Welt. Wer sie nicht kennt lebt woanders. Gabor, Katha und Susi haben sich zur Feier ihrer neuen Platte mit dem naheliegenden Titel *Tante Käthe* den Ort ausgesucht, wo sie vor zwei Jahren ihr erstes Konzert gaben. Im Gefolge der Tanten gibts das geheimnisvollste Debüt der Saison: SNAH. Hat noch keiner gehört. Bis Sonnabend.

“Wir schreiben nicht für die Mehrheit. Wir wissen, dass wir schräg sind; eine Mehrheit würden wir gar nicht erreichen – keiner von uns ist normal genug für Mainstream-Popmusik. Aber auch die heutige Welt ist voller Individuen. Und auf diese Masse zielen wir.” Heiko „Howie“ Lehmann (Mitbegründer und Leiter der Hazi Bros.)
Die schrägen Ungarn kommen. Zum wiederholten Mal parkt der Hazi Brothers- Tourbus im Wendehammer direkt vorm Kulturpalast Wedding. Im randvollen Kofferraum das neue Album “The Plum Harvest Was Bad Last Year”, dessen Erscheinen bereits in Serbien, Tschechien und Moldawien ausgiebig gefeiert wurde.
Musikalisch rangiert das Album von Chanson, Beat-Poetry und Folk bis zu Rock und Singer/ Songwriter- Material. Inhaltlich schickt es den Hörer auf eine Reise durch das Paradigma des Lebens – Angst, Lust, Liebe und Tod.
Im Schlepptau des Trios spielen zur Record Release Party Nadine Maria Schmidt, eine Leipziger Songschreiberin, die in ihrer Spielfreude und Musikalität einzigartig aus der Vielfalt zeitgenössischer Liedermacher herausragt, sowie das Westhafen Trio – nach Meinung der HAZI BROS. das Beste, was Berlin dieser Tage an Jazz zu bieten hat.
Für den Abend werden die heiligen Hallen von verschiedenen Künstlern des Kulturpalasts ausgestaltet. Vorgesehen ist eine Feier ohne Morgen danach.

“We don’t write for the mainstream. We know, that we are weird; we wouldn’t reach the mainstream – none of us is enough normal to for mainstream pop-music. However, today’s world is full of individuals. On this kind of majority we target.” (Heiko Lehmann, cofounder and leader of the Hazi Bros.)
The weird Hungarians are coming. Once again the Hazi Bros. – tour bus parks in the turning area in front of the Kulturpalast Wedding. In the brimming boot: the new album “The Plum Harvest Was Bad Last Year”, which was already released in Serbia, the Czech Republic and Moldova – and also was celebrated extensively.
Musically, the album is ranked from chanson, beat-poetry and folk to rock and singer/songwriter-material. The content takes the listener on a journey through the paradigm of life – fear, lust, love and death.
In the tow line of the trio at the record release party plays Nadine Maria Schmidt, a Leipzig-based songwriter, whose joy of playing and musicality stand out uniquely of contemporary songwriters. They are also accompanied by the Westhafen Trio – in the opinion of the Hazi Bros. the best in jazz, that Berlin could offer these days.
For this evening, the holy halls will be embellished by various artists from the Kulturpalast. A party without a morning after is planned.

Auch der Palast beteiligt sich am Festival <Krieg der Sprachen>. Am Mittwoch, dem 27. Juni 2007 gibt es zwei Konzerte der Neuen Musik in der Freienwalder Strasse 20:
Kurt König interpretiert Carlo Inderhees am Schlagzeug, parallel dazu gibt es Klangkochen mit Schnief und Ludi. Letztere experimentieren mit Tonabnehmern an den Kochtöpfen und Küchengeräten. Nach dem Konzert werden 7 Hühner gegessen. Der Vorstand
Also the palace takes part in the festival: war of the languages. On Wednesday 27th June, 2007 there are two concerts of the new music. While Kurt Koenig interpreted Carlo Inderhees on percussions, in addition there is sound cooking with the musicians Schnief and Ludi. The last one is an experiment with (sound-)pickups on the saucepans and kitchen utensils. After the concert 7 chickens are eaten.
